Once you send your deposit, I will contact you by email to obtain any photographs of the subject and your phone number. We can discuss the timelines and ideas on how you might want the painting rendered. Once these details are worked out, I will draft an agreement and ask you to sign. The agreement will include a payment schedule based on achieved milestones. One third of the total price will be requested by invoice at each milestone and is non-refundable.

There will be 3 milestones:
1. The painting has a basic layout, design and large color blocks have been rendered. Your deposit will be applied to this milestone and is no longer refundable.
2. The painting is completed and is resting before framing.
3. The painting is matted, varnished, framed and mounted ready to hang. You cannot take possesion of the painting until the last payment is made.

Although you may commision a painting, only I can authorize any copies of the original or its likeness, unless you purchase the copyrights seperately.

 

 

Regular or Enhanced Prints: While regular prints are exact copies of the original, enhanced prints are touched up with acrylic paint and are slightly different than the original or any other print. Enhanced prints are unique and therefore more valuable. All prints have an original signature by the Artist.

Giclee prints may not always be immediately available. Generally prints will be sent within 4 weeks after I receive your deposit and mailing coordinates.

 

 

You must provide a photo of the art piece you wish to have framed and the outer dimensions. The corners of the artwork must be square (i.e. exactly 90 degree angle). I will provide images of frames for you to select from. If you live near Ottawa, I can mount the painting in the frame. Otherwise, the finished frame will be sent to you by mail and you will need to mount the painting yourself. Frames can be returned for a full refund if they are received undamaged.
